About the event

The session begins with an overview of distribution feeder concepts and their role in transporting energy safely and efficiently throughout power systems. Attendees will explore key considerations including reliability and flexibility, voltage regulation, the integration of distributed generation (DG), and the importance of safety in modern electrical networks.

Building on these foundations, the webinar will cover the key principles of feeder protection, including selectivity (coordination), operating speed, sensitivity, and backup protection. Participants will gain an understanding of how properly designed protection schemes quickly isolate faults, helping to limit equipment damage, improve system reliability, and enhance personnel safety.

The presentation will also introduce GE Vernova’s Multilin Agile protection relay platform and its key capabilities. Robert will discuss essential protection elements, advanced and specialized protection functions, as well as the monitoring and control features that enable smarter and more effective system protection. Whether you are new to protection systems or looking to strengthen…
